Mackenzie Engel
EDUCATION: A born and bred Washingtonian, I graduated from Seattle University in June 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a minor in Strategic Communications. During my tenure I served as a new-student resource on SU’s Orientation Advisor staff and traveled abroad to study a few of my passions – modern art, literature and film – in Paris.
MISSION & VALUES: My professional philosophy centers on being enterprising and solution-oriented. I believe people should always come to the table with a potential solution to share alongside a problem. Whether I am partnering with clients or candidates, anticipating potential roadblocks and how to overcome them is one of my strengths.
CHARACTERISTICS: Today, our professional and personal lives are more blended than ever before. I strive to be dynamic, engaging and reliable throughout all aspects of my life. I am voraciously inquisitive and hope my sense of curiosity is contagious among colleagues. Practice makes permanent, so while it doesn’t always come easily, I dedicate myself each day to working both smarter and harder to improve my craft.
WANTS: I’m most fulfilled at work when I’m enabling others’ success. Sometimes this means a hands-on approach, while other times it means getting out of the way! I prioritize leading by example and fostering a culture of reciprocity among my teammates in which we’re all striving to be on top, but never at each other’s expense.
