CHARACTERISTICS: I’m a naturally curious person and am always asking “why”! It drove my parents crazy when I was a kid but is a great trait to possess as a recruiter. I tend to be on the shy side which is uncharacteristic of most recruiters. I wasn’t a naturally gifted recruiter but overcame this by working harder than everyone around me and continual learning.
WANTS: I want to positively impact the lives of those I come in contact with at VitalSource – whether they are employees, candidates or clients.

Exploring each person’s unique skill set and work history through interviews is fascinating and what I have learned is that everyone has a unique story to tell. It is my mission as a senior technical recruiter to advise my candidates on resumes, social media profiles, interviewing strategies and career path decisions. I feel honored to work with top tier technical people and I learn from my candidates every day. Nothing is as valuable as human life and the fact that my job centers around people is fulfilling.
